    One Day Beginner Experience

    Military Style Bushcraft Experience For Beginners - 1 Day Beginner Experience. Min age 14+

    This beginner course will introduce you to the 'Basics of Survival' so that you will be better prepared in the event you have to survive on your own in the wild. It offers a range of useful skills that you can take away and practice to nurture your 'Survivors Mindset'.


    Who is this for?


    This course is an educational, beginner, one-day experience for enthusiastic, novice survivalists, who are interested in learning new skills and want to see how the military prepare for isolation. It offers an exciting introduction to bushcraft and survival skills, without having to rough it for real! As you will be working in pairs this is the perfect experience for family groups, couples, friends and colleagues to spend quality time outside, in nature, experiencing a new activity together.


    • Minimum participant age is 14 years old, but must be supervised by a participating adult (18+) at all times.
    • This course includes the use of bladed tools, fire, light physical exertion, and movement around a woodland environment with an uneven surface, so may not be appropriate for some.

    What to expect?


    Working in pairs, you will receive training from professional military instructors in a fun, safe, and relaxed woodland environment. 


    The day will cover:


    • Survival Equipment
    • Building your Camp Site 
    • Useful knots
    • Emergency shelters
    • Fire 


    What to bring?


    • All survival tools and equipment will be provided on site.
    • Protective clothing: Please bring seasonally appropriate warm, waterproof clothing, suitable footwear for the outdoor environment such as walking boots, wellies or robust worn trainers. No open toed footwear. A change of dry clothes is always a good idea too.
    • Food & drink: Refreshments are limited on site to tea and coffee. No food will be provided. Please bring your own flask, at least one litre of water, a packed lunch and snacks to sustain you for the whole day.

    • Saturday 12 April 25: 0830 - 1600hrs

    Or

    • Tuesday 15 April 25: 0830 - 1600hrs

    • By booking any course or event you agree to our Terms and Conditions. 
    • This ‘Beginner Experience’ is designed for you to work in pairs, and at times, larger groups will be required to work as a team. If you are booking as a solo adult, please be prepared to work with others.
    • Any participants (Under 18) must be supervised by a participating adult (18+) at all times.
    • The named adult on the booking takes sole responsibility for any participant under 18 years of age on the booking, at all times.
    • If you have any special needs or requirements, please contact Sapper Survival school at info@sappersurvival.co.uk before booking.
    • All courses are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
